"I just now heard of Dr. Veltman's passing. Dr. Veltman was the pediatrician for all 4 of my children. We remember him as being soft spoken, almost shy, but a VERY dedicated physician. He was the one who tested our WHOLE family, when someone always seemed to have strep throat.....he knew someone was a carrier, and found the one who was. He also visited the hospital EVERY day, for two and a half weeks, after my youngest son had been hit by a car. He even would wear something U of M, whether it was a tie, or some other article of clothing because he knew my son was a U of M fan. Dr. Veltman was not treating my son, but because he was HIS patient, he always stopped by. When my oldest son became too old to see a pediatrician, he still saw him until we were able to get him in to another doctor. That is the kind of man Dr. Veltman was. He will not be forgotten. Sympathy to his family and may you find peace in knowing how much others thought of him."

"Dr. Veltman was such a gentle and kind soul. I , as well as my brothers Dave and Mike, had him as our Dr. while growing up. Was truly blessed that he continued long enough for our children Jason and Andrea to have him as well. Our thoughts and prayers are flowing for your family. The Heavens are blessed with another Angel. Diane (Bogucki) Turney"
