Condolence & Memory Journal

Cousin Jim was always such a gentle, giving soul. He was always faithfilled and interesting. What a rare person... we are all blessed to have known him.

The comments of Jim's past students are a great tribute to him and show the legacy he has left behind. What a wonderful friend he was to me from high school until the present.

A servant of the Lord in all he did. The loving way he treated his mother, the respect of, and interest in, each of his students at St. James, the kindness he showed to every person he met, the selfless gift of time to his church, can all be attributed to Jim. May his life's work be recognized in heaven.
Sincerely
Yvette Becker

I had Mr. Brink for a teacher at St. James in 3'rd & again in 6'th grade. He was a wonderful teacher & a humble a servant of the Lord in various other ministries. Years later, when he officiated my father's graveside service, I saw the same Christlike image. RIP, Mr Brink. You've earned a seat at the front of the class!

So sad to hear. Mr. Brink was my favorite teacher at St. James. He taught me so much of Christ and the love of the Catholic faith. He will be greatly missed.

Sad to read of Jim's passing. Jim was a classmate at Catholic Central and one of the nicest young men. May he Rest In Peace and sending prayers to his family and many friends.

Jim Brink taught me and my sons Zachary, Elliot, and Ethan about Jesus at St James. He was the best teacher and advocate for Christ. He will be sadly missed. Until we all meet again in heaven. God bless you. Jim Wood

I had him as my third grade teacher back in the early 90's. He was definitely my favorite! I was just thinking about him last week, and then see this. My prayers go out to the family, may God give you comfort in your time of need.

I went through 8 years at St. James and 4 years of West Catholic. I received 2 bachelors degrees. Among the numerous teachers that I've had, I consider Mr. Brink as the best, and my favorite. It's a tribute to him and to the job he loved doing and did so well. He made going to school fun and I looked forward to it. We shared a birthday as well.

RIP Mr. Brink. You've earned it. May the Good Lord Bless you and welcome you into His Kingdom.
