Dale E. Uldricks, 89 of Battle Creek died peacefully at Borgess Medical Center on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

Dale was born August 30, 1928 in Three Rivers, Michigan to Frank and Ethel (Armour) Uldricks. He moved to Battle Creek with his family as a child, graduated from Lakeview High School and went on to earn a certificate in Business. Dale honorably served his country with the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer in the Marshall Islands and Hawaii. He was employed for over 30 years at Eaton Corporation, retiring as a Scheduler in Plant Production Control. He previously worked for Consumers Power Company and sold real estate for Horton Realty and for his father at Central Realty.

Dale E. Uldricks was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth VanDongen on September 14, 1950 in Battle Creek. Sadly he was preceded in death by his wife Mary on January 29, 2014. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Jean (Randolph) Sly of Kansas City, MO; two sons, Martin John Uldricks and Stephen Dale (Theresa) Uldricks both of Battle Creek; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to his wife, Dale was also preceded in death by his father, Frank Uldricks; mother and stepfather, Ethel A. and Fred VanDongen and two sisters, Lynn Conroy-Wass and Lee Horton.

Dale was a member of First Wesleyan Church, where he served on the Board and where he and his wife were Youth Directors for many years. He also enjoyed square dancing with his wife, Mary. Dale was a tinkerer, worked on cars and liked doing things for family and friends. Dale always put God first and his family was always his top priority. He always enjoyed getting together with family and friends. Dale will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, and the spiritual foundation for his family. He loved his family and friends unconditionally.

Friends will be received 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, where funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Robert L. Zuhl 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
