Mr. Howard J. Antoine age 81 of Solon Township passed away Sunday April 8, 2012. Surviving are his wife of 57 years Loretta Antoine (Shawanesse), two sons: Howard D. Antoine, Michael G. Antoine, grandsons Alexander Antoine (Devona Greene), Casey Clouse, great grandson Ozzie Antoine, nephew Aragorn Moser. He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Antoine, brother Antoine Charles, sister-in-law Elisa Shawanesse. Howard was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of the Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to Michigan Conservancy in his name or Dwelling Place will be appreciated. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Michigan for their extensive help with Howard's care and a thank you to his colleagues at the GRCC especially the police.
