Beverly Anna Sebring, 73, of Marshall died on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Marshall Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Beverly was born on February 5, 1939, in Burlington Township, to Joseph F and Loraine J. (Mack) Minor. She graduated from Athens High School. She was married to David Sebring and Bill Shepherd which those marriages ended in divorce. Beverly worked for many years in downtown Marshall at Hemmingsen's Drug Store, to waitressing at many different restaurants, and being a excellent seamstress. Beverly also served as the first lady firefighter on the Fredonia Township Fire Department. She was a former member of the Ellis Corners Church, Zion Lutheran Church, and the Marshall Church of Christ. Beverly enjoyed sewing, gardening, and going to craft shows. She is survived by her three grandsons, Greg (Sadie) Hallock of Albion, Tyler (Samantha) Hallock of Ceresco, and Justin Hallock of Battle Creek. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, two special friends Johnnie Weakley, Linda Seager, and a brother Kevin Minor, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son David Sebring Jr., a daughter Melissa Houldsworth, a brother Larry Minor, and a fiancé Bob Obenour. A graveside service will take place at 1pm on Monday July, 16, 2012, at Floral Lawn Memorial Garden with Pastor Jerry Mack officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
