Dorothy A. Pickett, 77, of Bellevue and formerly of Bronson, died July 2, 2012 at McClaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing. She was born November 19, 1934, the daughter of Herbert and Jessie (Ranger) Olds in LaGrange, Indiana. Dorothy graduated from high school in LaGrange and worked as a secretary for Segers Department Store in Sturgis, Bronson Plating in Bronson and part-time at Felpausch in Coldwater. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Sikorski in 2002; and children, Jacob Sikorski and Melissa Sikorski and brother, Robert Olds. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Roy Pickett of Bellevue; children, Teresa (Derren) Smith of Colon, Denise L. Balle of Bronson, Annette (Joe) Garcia of Milwaukee, Rose Marie Hinson of Coldwater, Michael (April) Sikorski of Comstock; stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Mark) Gilbert of Florence, Kentucky and Naomi (Dale) Hartman of Leona, Pennsylvania; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren; brother, Dean (Judy) Olds of Greer, South Carolina and sister-in-law, Sharon Olds. Dorothy was a member of the Red Hat Society, Branch County Community Choir, Sweet Adeline's and the St. Charles choir in Coldwater. She enjoyed music, reading and watching sports. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4:00 and 6 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Shaw Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the funeral home in Battle Creek with Pastor Scott Brood officiating. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Bronson.
