Louise Christine Walz Selbee, 94, of Warwick, New York and formerly of St. Augustine, Florida, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born April 7, 1917, the daughter of the late C. F. and Mercy Walz, in Battle Creek. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Selbee, Jr. and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Tuin of Greenville, Michigan and Barbara Dooley and her husband, John of Warwick; her sister, Edythe Marshall of Delton; sister-in-law, Norma Kruger; her grandchildren, Shawn Dooley and his wife, Cynthia, Brian Dooley and his wife, Alycia, Gregory Dooley and his fiancé, Laura, Jerry Tuin and his wife, Claire, Michael Tuin and his wife, Sandie, Gloria Dancer and her husband, Chris, Craig Tuin and his wife, Janet; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Louise lived in Battle Creek and Grand Rapids before moving with her family to Palatka and St. Augustine, Florida, where she lived for 30+ years. She moved to Warwick to be by her daughter. Louise was a devoted wife and mother. She worked at Kellogg's in Battle Creek and several other businesses but her main concern was being a wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed all animals and nature shows of all kinds, needlepoint, gardening, coloring, and being with friends. Visitation, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A committal service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery.
